The Sony Ericsson Sync service was discontinued on 29th of December 2011. If you have a Sony Ericsson Sync application in your Android mobile phone device and contacts linked to the Sony Ericsson Sync service, please follow below instructions.
* "Transfer in phone" instructions are applicable for Android™ phones only.
* Users of non-Android phones don’t need to take on "Transfer in phone" actions.
* Users of non-Android phones don’t need to take on "Transfer in phone" actions.

Step by Step instructions

1From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.

2Find and tap Phonebook.

3Press the Menu key.

4Select Back up contacts > Memory card.

5Tap Ok to confirm export.

6When done, press the Menu key.

7Select Import contacts > Memory Card.

8Select desired account (e.g. Google™). Don’t use the Sony Ericsson Sync ML account.

9Select Import vCard file and select the generated file.

De-activate automatic synchronization
If you have auto-sync enabled on your phone to sync data automatically, you might get an error message saying that synchronization failed. To prevent this from happening, you need to deactivate your Sony Ericsson Sync account in your phone. You can do this by following the steps below.

1From the Home screen, press the Menu key, then tap Settings > Accounts & sync.

2Tap the Sony Ericsson Sync account.

3Uncheck all three boxes.

4Tap Account settings > Sync interval.

5Select Off and tap Done in the bottom of the screen.
