Hironobu Arima, Senior Application Manager, PPM

The focus of my work is to create the most value between our phones and accessories by assuring tight communication between the Product Business Unit Accessories and other Product Business Units. Being able to see the results of my work, which have a global influence on the company, is an enormous benefit for me.

I love working in the product planning team. I think we have the most exciting role within the company by creating innovative products and ideas. We have the freedom to develop our concepts and see the results of that freedom in the completed products.

Sony Ericsson have managed to expand our product line rapidly in just the past five years. And I believe that Sony Ericsson will continue to be in the best position to offer the most attractive products and value to this market - and it’s great to be a part of that.

We will achieve so much more in the next few years in innovative and unique ways, and we all feel the excitement that this growth and challenge brings. Back to top

Magdalena Bartoszewicz, Customer Realtionship Manager

I’m Magdalena from Poland. As some of you know I’m kind of addicted to high quality shoes. However, quality is also very important to me in my job and within my career. Not only, Sony Ericsson gave me opportunity to work in some emerging markets but also build up my leadership competencies within different international programs. Back to top

Marie Winther Bothén, Corporate Business Controller

Most people don’t like Mondays, but I have no problem in getting up to go to work.

I interact with people from all over the world in all sorts of different ways. My work is all about understanding, communicating and driving various financial processes within our company. No two days are the same, which is great because you never know what to expect.

I have great opportunities for growth, not just in my career and position but also socially. The challenges at work push you to do greater things, even when you’re away from the office.

Another great benefit is working with interesting people. I work with fresh-thinking, skilled people with impressive backgrounds. Most of my colleagues have a genuine interest in other people and they are not what you would call average.

We have all been beginners at some time in our life, and I have learned an awful lot since I started in the mobile phone business 10 years ago. Two things that I've understood are that everything will change, so I need to be open-minded, and that I always need to be in the 'driver's seat' of the things that I care about and am interested in. By doing this, I feel the sky is the limit in this company. Back to top

Erik Mårtensson, Product Business Manager

What really excites me about working for Sony Ericsson is having an interesting job that gives me the chance to deepen my knowledge in a specific area.

I have felt welcome from day one – everyone has tried to help me as much as they can with their knowledge, experience and contacts. Getting help building up contacts in the organisation is extremely important for getting to grips with your work as quickly as possible. Everything is so much easier if you know who to ask or who to go to on different matters.

It’s great to be a part of an international, successful company that makes cool products that I like using. Back to top

Dimitra Darda, Head of Sales, Greece

With my team I develop and implement sales strategies that will give Sony Ericsson the leading position across Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia and Moldova.

My typical day is full of energy and action. I meet customers and colleagues, travel, forecast, respond to requests, coach and make decisions all the time. I ensure that we deliver the right mix of products, and in such a way that customers, colleagues, partners and consumers love the Sony Ericsson experience.

Our multinational team is full of enthusiasm and hungry for success. I believe that a company's human assets are fundamental to its success, and that’s definitely true here in Sony Ericsson.

I’m very lucky that I'm working here now. The open and dynamic environment creates opportunities for me to fulfil my own aspirations for personal development and to contribute to the success of Sony Ericsson. Back to top
