Sustainability Report 2008

This Sustainability Report, the first from Sony Ericsson, is a an overview of our sustainability initiatives. Sony Ericsson has strived to take a leadership position in the mobile phone industry, driving sustainable improvements in our products, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain. GreenHeart™

GreenHeart™ is the result of years of innovation to bring you phones that offer you a greener choice. The GreenHeart™ portfolio introduces green innovations that reduce the overall environmental impact of the phone without compromising on style or features. The pioneer GreenHeart™ products are C901 GreenHeart™ and Naite significantly reducing their impact on the environment: the ‘green core’ of our GreenHeart™ phones is the result of a long standing commitment to eliminate the use of unwanted substances from the product design and manufacturing process; an in-phone manual replacing the standard paper version; recycled plastics and an energy efficient display mean that the overall CO2 emissions of the phone are decreased by 15%.
