Before you can use your Bluetooth™ headset with your phone, it must be paired once with the phone. Follow the instructions in your phone User guide for turning on the Bluetooth function in the phone.

To pair the headset with your phone:

1. Make sure the headset is turned off.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function and Bluetooth visibility in your phone (this makes the phone visible to other Bluetooth devices).
3. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) of the headset.
4. Press and hold down the on/off key on the headset until the display shows the flashing pairing icon.
5. If your phone supports auto pairing, press "Yes" when you're asked to add the headset to the phone. If not, see your phone User guide on how to pair the Bluetooth device. If required, the headset passcode is 0000.
6. The headset shows the battery status and the on/off icon when successfully paired.

After a successful pairing, the headset will automatically connect to the phone as soon as it is turned on and within range.

To adjust the volume on your headset:

• Provided you aren't on a call or listening to music, you can change the ring volume by sliding the volume key up or down.
• To adjust the speaker volume during a call, slide the volume key up or down.
• To adjust the music volume, slide the volume key up or down.

Voice commands can only be used with the headset if your phone supports voice dialling. For more information, please see your phone User guide.

To make a call using voice commands:

1. Press the action key, located on the side of your headset.
2. Wait for a beep and say your command.

Note: Make sure voice commands are enabled and recorded in your phone before you try to use them.

The headset is automatically turned off:

• When the battery level is too low. You hear a low beep approximately 10 minutes before the headset turns off. Charge the battery.
• When the headset is in pairing mode, the headset turns off if you don't pair it with the phone within 10 minutes.

Once you've paired the headset with your phone, you can make calls when the headset is turned on. Solid objects, walls and a distance greater than 5 metres (16.5 feet) can impair the sound quality. For best performance, wear the headset and the phone on the same side of your body.

To make a call:

1. Use the phone keys, and dial the number in the same way as you would normally do. The call is automatically activated in the headset.
2. To end the call, briefly press the action key located on the side of your headset, or use your phone.

Note: You can redial the last number by double-pressing the action key on your headset.

Make sure the headset is charged, switched on and within range of the phone. Check that the headset is paired with your phone and that Bluetooth™ is turned on in the phone (for more information, please see the phone User guide). If problems still occur with the connection between the phone and the headset, you must reset your headset.

To reset your Bluetooth™ headset:

1. Press and hold down the on/off key on your headset, until the display shows the flashing pairing icon.
2. Simultaneously press and hold down the on/off key and the call handling key on your headset, until the headset turns off. The headset is now reset to as it was when purchased.

Note: When you reset the headset, all connection settings in the headset will be erased and the connection with your phone will be lost. To use the headset, you will have to pair it again.

Once you've paired the headset with your phone, you can receive calls when the headset is turned on. Solid objects, walls and a distance greater than 5 metres (16.5 feet) can impair the sound quality. For best performance, wear the headset and the phone on the same side of your body.

To answer a call:

1. Briefly press the action key located on the side of your headset.
2. To end the call, briefly press the action key.

To reject a call:

1. Press and hold down the action key, until you hear a short beep.

You can move between tracks while listening to music by sliding and holding the volume key up or down.
