Before you can use your Bluetooth™ headset with your phone, it must be paired once with the phone. Follow the instructions in your phone User guide for turning on the Bluetooth function in the phone.
To pair the headset with your phone:
Make sure the headset is turned off.
Turn on the Bluetooth function and Bluetooth visibility in your phone (this makes the phone visible to other Bluetooth devices).
Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) of the headset.
Press and hold down the on/off key until the display shows a flashing pairing icon.
If your phone supports auto pairing, press "Yes" when you're asked to add the headset to the phone. If not, see your phone User guide on how to pair the Bluetooth device. If required, the headset passcode is 0000.
The headset is paired when the pairing icon disappears.
Note: When in pairing mode, the headset switches off if you don't pair it with the phone within 10 minutes. After a successful pairing, the headset will automatically connect to the phone as soon as it is turned on and within range.
When the battery needs charging, the indicator light on the headset flashes red and you hear a beep. If you don't charge the headset, it automatically turns off. You can charge the headset with the supplied charger or with a Sony Ericsson phone charger. It takes approximately two hours to charge the headset.
To check the battery status: Briefly press the on/off key on your headset. If the indicator light flashes:
One green flash: the battery needs charging soon.
Two green flashes: the battery is half full.
Three green flashes: the battery is fully charged.
Note: Before you use the headset for the first time, you must charge it for approximately 8 hours to reach the maximum capacity of the battery.
Make sure the headset is charged, switched on and within range of the phone. Check that the headset is paired with your phone and that Bluetooth™ is turned on in the phone (for more information, please see the phone User guide). If problems still occur with the connection between the phone and the headset, you must reset your headset.
