Before you can use the speakerphone, it must be paired with your phone. The first time it's turned on, the speakerphone will automatically enter pairing mode.

To pair the speakerphone with your phone:

1. Turn on the speakerphone, by pressing the end key.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth™ function in your phone.
3. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) of the speakerphone.
4. Press and hold down the Bluetooth key on the speakerphone for 2 seconds. The pairing mode icon is now displayed.

Note: You can pair the speakerphone with 5 phones.

Before you use the speakerphone for the first time, make sure the battery is fully charged. You can charge your speakerphone with any newer Sony Ericsson phone charger.

To charge the speakerphone in a car:

1. Connect the cigarette lighter adaptor to the speakerphone.
2. Connect the cigarette lighter adaptor to the adaptor outlet in your car.
3. Charge the speakerphone for about 2 hours or until the battery icon indicates a full charge, then remove the adaptor.

Note: You can still use the speakerphone while charging.

Troubleshooting:

• Check that the Bluetooth™ function in the phone is on, and set to visible.
• Make sure the phone is not connected to another Bluetooth™ device. The phone can only be connected to one device at a time.
• When in pairing mode, the speakerphone switches off if you don't pair it with the phone within 10 minutes. Try to pair the speakerphone once again.

To remove an already paired phone, you must do a master reset.

To perform a master reset:

1. Make sure the speakerphone is turned on.
2. Press and hold down the Bluetooth key, until the pairing mode icon is displayed (for about 2 seconds).
3. Press and hold down the call key and the end key simultaneously, until the speakerphone is turned off.

Note: When you reset the speakerphone, all connection settings in the speakerphone will be erased and the connections with all your connected phones will be lost. To use the speakerphone, you will have to pair it again.

The speakerphone is automatically turned off when:

• The battery level is too low. Before it turns off, you'll hear a short sound. Please charge the speakerphone.

There are two ways to reset the speakerphone.

• If the speakerphone behaves unexpectedly, do a hardware reset.
• If you want to restore the factory settings, do a master reset.

To do a hardware reset:

1. Make sure the speakerphone is turned on.
2. Press and hold down the end key until the speakerphone is turned off (about 10 seconds).

To perform a master reset:

1. Make sure the speakerphone is turned on.
2. Press and hold down the Bluetooth key, until the pairing mode icon is displayed (about 2 seconds).
3. Press and hold down the call key and the end key simultaneously, until the speakerphone is turned off.

Yes, you can.

If all the positions are being used, you can still pair another phone. The new phone will replace the position of an earlier paired phone on the speakerphone. Choose the position you want to replace and start pairing the new phone.

To answer a second call:

1. Briefly press the call key on the speakerphone.
2. To flip between two ongoing calls, briefly press the call key.
3. To reject the call, briefly press the end key on the speakerphone.

A second incoming call is indicated by:

• A low signal with two short tones.
• The display shows an incoming call icon.

To switch between the paired phones:

1. Press the Bluetooth key on the speakerphone.
2. A different phone will be shown on the display each time you press the Bluetooth key.
3. Choose the phone you want to use, and you'll get access to the phonebook, etc.

The text-to-speech feature:

To transfer an ongoing call to the speakerphone:

• Press and hold the call key on the speakerphone, and your call will be transferred.

To disconnect an ongoing call from the speakerphone:

• Disconnect the speakerphone manually from your phone.

Note: Your phone must be in Bluetooth mode, and paired with the speakerphone.
