If the sound disappears, the music receiver has probably disconnected from the phone. Press the button on the back of the music receiver once to reconnect. If this doesn't help, try adding the music receiver to your phone again.

Yes, if the charger is a CST-75, CST-60 or CMT-60. Put the music receiver with the Sony Ericsson symbol up and the charger plug with the flash symbol up, then use the contact to the right on the charger to plug into the music receiver.
