There will be no sound if you connect a portable media player to line-out. The line-out is only for connecting, and playing through music equipment. To play music through the speakers, connect the portable media player to line-in.

You can enjoy wireless stereo audio from a phone or another Bluetooth device, such as a computer or a portable music player. To connect via the Bluetooth™ function, please see the device user guide for instructions on how to pair.

You can also listen to music via the supplied cable:

• Connect portable media players to line-in on the speaker.
• Connect music equipment to line-out on the speaker.

Note: The speaker leaves pairing mode when the line-in cable is connected.

You should reset the speaker when it behaves unexpectedly. To reset it, follow these steps:

1. Turn on the speaker.
2. Press and hold the Bluetooth™ button until it enters pairing mode. Symbols for Bluetooth™ connection shows up on the display in the speaker.
3. Press and hold the On/Off button and the Bluetooth™ button simultaneously.
4. The speaker automatically turns off when the reset is done.

Before you can use the primary speaker, it must be paired with your phone once. After a successful pairing, the speaker automatically connects to your phone when it's turned on and within range.

To pair the speaker with your phone:

Note: If auto pairing isn't supported by your phone, or isn't successful, follow the two first steps above and turn on the speaker. Press and hold down the Bluetooth key on the speaker until the display shows. Then add the speaker to your phone as described in your phone User guide. The passcode is 0000.

Ten different streaming devices can be paired with the primary speaker simultaneously. If an eleventh device is paired with the speaker, it replaces the device that has been inactive the longest.

1. Turn on the Bluetooth function in the phone. For instructions, see the phone User guide.
2. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) of the speaker.
3. Turn on the speaker.
4. Press and hold the Bluetooth™ button at the bottom of the speaker until it enters pairing mode.
5. Add the speaker to your phone as described in your phone User guide. The passcode is 0000.

1. Make sure the speaker is charged and within range (about 10 m, possibly less if there are obstacles) of the phone.
2. Check your phone to make sure Bluetooth™ is turned on and that the speaker is among the connected devices. If necessary, repeat the pairing process to re-establish connection.
3. If there is still no connection, reset the speaker and pair it with the phone once again.

To use your phone and the speaker for listening to music, both devices must be turned on, within range of each other and correctly paired.

After checking this, simply start the media player in your phone, and the music will be streamed automatically to the speaker.
