The headset can only be paired with one phone at a time. If another phone is paired the previous pairing information will be lost.

Before you can use the Bluetooth™ accessory with your phone it has to be paired once with the phone. After a successful pairing, the accessory will automatically connect to the phone as soon as it is turned on and within range.

To transfer an ongoing call to the handsfree:

• During a call, briefly press the call handling key on your handsfee.

Voice commands can only be used with the handsfree if your phone supports voice dialing. For more information, please see your phone User guide.

To make a call using voice commands:

1. Press the call handling key on the handsfree.
2. Wait for a beep and say your command.

Note: Make sure voice commands are enabled and recorded in your phone before you try to use them.

When you have paired the handsfree with your phone, you can receive calls as long as the handsfree is turned on. Solid objects, walls and a greater distance than 5 meters (16.5 feet) can affect the sound quality negatively. For best performance, wear the handsfree and the phone on the same side of your body.

To answer a call:

1. Briefly press the call handling key on your handsfree.
2. To end the call, briefly press the call handling key on your handsfree.

• Press and hold down the call handling key on your handsfree until you hear a short beep.

To make a call:

1. Use the phone keys, and dial the number in the same way as you would normally do. The call is automatically activated in the handsfree.
2. To end the call, briefly press the call handling key on your handsfree or use your phone.

Note: You can redial the last number by double-clicking the call handling key on your handsfree.

When the battery needs charging, the indicator light on the handsfree flashes red and you hear a beep. If you do not charge the handsfree, it automatically turns off. You can charge the handsfree with the supplied charger or with a Sony Ericsson phone charger. It takes approximately 2 hours to charge the handsfree.

To check the battery status:
Briefly press the on/off key on your handsfree. If the indicator light flashes:

• One red flash, the battery needs charging soon.
• Two green flashes, the battery is medium full.
• Three green flashes, the battery is fully charged.

Note: Before you use the handsfree for the first time you need to charge it for approximately 8 hours to reach the maximum capacity of the battery.

To adjust the speaker volume:

• During a call, press the volume keys on your handsfee. Press '+' to increase the volume, and '-' to decrease the volume.

To turn off the microphone:

• Press the volume keys on your handsfree at the same time. Repeat to turn on the microphone again.

No connection to the phone:

• Check that the handsfree is charged.
• Check that the handsfree is within 5 meters (16.5 feet) of the phone with no solid objects in between.
• Check that the Bluetooth™ function in the phone is on and set to visible.
• Try to pair again.

Redial does not work:

• Check that the call list in the phone is not empty.

Voice commands do not work:

• Check that your phone supports voice commands.
• Check that the voice commands are enabled and recorded in your phone before you start using them.

The handsfree is automatically turned off:

• The battery level is too low - charge the battery.
• When in pairing mode, the handsfree turns off if you do not pair it with the phone within 10 minutes.

To turn on the handsfree:

• Press and hold down the on/off key until the indicator light shows a steady green or red light. If the light is red, the handsfree needs charging. After 3 seconds, the light turns off and the handsfree is on.

To turn off the handsfree:

• Press and hold down the on/off key until the indicator light shows a steady green or red light. If the light is red, the handsfree needs charging. After 2 seconds, the light turns off and the handsfree is off.
