When the battery needs charging, the indicator light flashes red and you hear a low beep. If you do not charge the headset, it automatically turns off. You can charge the headset with the supplied charger or with a Sony Ericsson phone charger. It takes approximately 2 hours to charge the headset.

To check the battery status:
Briefly press the action key on your headset. If the indicator light flashes:

• One red flash, the battery needs charging soon.
• One green flash,the battery is half full or fully charged.

Note: Before you use the headset for the first time you need to charge it for approximately 8 hours to reach the maximum capacity of the battery.

To turn on the headset:

• Press and hold down the action key until the indicator light shows a steady green light. After 3 seconds, the light turns off and the headset is on.

To turn off the headset:

• Press and hold down the action key until the indicator light shows a steady green or red light. If the light is red, the headset needs charging. After 2 seconds, the light turns off and the headset is off.

No connection to the phone:

• Check that the headset is charged.
• Check that the headset is within 5 meters (16.5 feet) of the phone with no solid objects in between.
• Check that the Bluetooth™ function in the phone is on and set to visible.
• Try to pair again.

Redial does not work:

• Check that the call list in the phone is not empty.

Voice commands do not work:

• Check that your phone supports voice commands.
• Check that the voice commands are enabled and recorded in your phone before you start using them.

The headset is automatically turned off:

• The battery level is too low - charge the battery.
• When in pairing mode, the headset turns off if you do not pair it with the phone within 10 minutes.

When you have paired the headset with your phone, you can receive calls as long as the headset is turned on. Solid objects, walls and a greater distance than 5 meters (16.5 feet) can affect the sound quality negatively. For best performance, wear the handsfree and the phone on the same side of your body.

To answer a call:

1. Briefly press the action key on your headset.
2. To end the call, briefly press the action key on your headset.

• Press and hold down the action key on your headset until you hear a short beep.

To make a call:

1. Use the phone keys, and dial the number in the same way as you would normally do. The call is automatically activated in the headset.
2. To end the call, briefly press the action key on your headset or use your phone.

Note: You can redial the last number by double-clicking the action key on your headset.

To transfer an ongoing call to the headset:

• During a call, briefly press the action key on your headset.

The headset can only be paired with one phone at a time. If another phone is paired the previous pairing information will be lost.

To reset the headset:

1. Connect briefly to a charger.
2. Press and hold down the action key until the indicator light flashes red and green alternately.
3. Pair the headset.

Before you can use the Bluetooth™ accessory with your phone it has to be paired once with the phone. After a successful pairing, the accessory will automatically connect to the phone as soon as it is turned on and within range.
