How to enable/disable the 3G network

When you're connected to a 3G network, a 3G icon will be visible in the status bar. When you aren't connected to a 3G network, the symbol will disappear. With most phones, you can select whether you want to use GSM and 3G networks or GSM only.

To enable/disable the 3G network:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity (tab).
  2. Select Mobile networks > GSM/3G networks.
  3. To enable 3G, select GSM and 3G. To disable 3G, select GSM only.
