How do I use the Sony Ericsson Remote Update Service?

To find Sony Ericsson Remote Update Service in your phone, navigate to “Settings” in the main menu and find “Update Service” in the “General” tab. Choose “Search for update” and press “Select”. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

The process has three simple steps:

  1. Search – the phone searches for a new software version to update to.
  2. Download – the new version is sent to your mobile. It takes around 2-15 minutes depending on the size of the download and the speed of the connection.
  3. Update – your mobile is updated to the latest version. This takes about 10-20 minutes.

When the download is finished, the phone will automatically restart and your phone is updated with the latest software. Please note that it may take up to 20 seconds for the phone to start the first time after update
