Sometimes you might want to turn off your ringtone to avoid disturbing others. With some phones you can easily do so from standby by pressing and holding the hash (#) key. A crossed-out musical note will then be visible in the status bar, indicating that the ringtone is switched off. With some phones you can also switch off the ringtone momentarily when you get an incoming call, simply by pressing the pound key.

You can set the vibrating alert in your phone. When you use the vibrating signal, you will be able to feel your phone ringing.
