Make a video call

If your phone supports it you can make a video call with the built-in video call camera, and the recipient can see you. Make a video call from the main camera, and the recipient will see the view from the main camera. Some phones only support video calling from the main camera.

Note: Regardless of what your phone supports, you can only see what the recipient's phone enables you to see.

To be able to make a video call, both you and the recipient need the following:

  • A 3G (UMTS) phone subscription.
  • A SIM card that supports 3G.
  • To be within coverage of a 3G network.

To make a video call by entering a phone number:

  1. Enter a phone number.
  2. Select Options > Make video call.

To make a video call by using a contact:

  1. From standby, select Menu > Contacts.
  2. Use the navigation key to select the desired contact.
  3. Select Options > Make video call.

To change the video call settings:

  1. From standby, select Menu > Organizer > Video call.
  2. If you want to switch camera, select Options > Switch camera.
  3. For more video call settings, select Options.
