To change language settings for messages

There are two kinds of language settings in your phone: Phone Language for the menus and Writing Language for entering text. You can choose to have different languages set for the two, and you can easily change writing language while writing a message.

To set the phone language:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > General (tab).
  2. Select Phone language, and select the desired language.

To set the writing language:

  1. In writing mode, select Options > Writing options.
  2. Select Writing language, and select the desired language.
