To change language settings for messages

There are two kinds of language settings in your phone: Phone Language for the menus and Writing Language for entering text. You can choose to have different languages set for the two, and you can easily change writing language while writing a message.

To set the phone language:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > General (tab).
  2. Select Language > Phone language.
  3. Select a language.

To set the writing language:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > General (tab).
  2. Select Language > Writing language.
  3. Mark the languages you want, and select Save.
