Picture messages are also called MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) messages. MMS enables you to send and receive messages that include multimedia objects (pictures, sounds, video clips and rich text) via your mobile phone. To be able to send and receive MMS messages, your network subscription must support picture messages, and you must have the correct MMS settings in your phone. These settings may already be in your phone when you buy it. For most phones you can go to the Phone set-up service on this site and have the settings sent to you in an SMS message. There is an operator limit for the maximum size of a picture message. If you try to send a picture that's too large, you'll be asked to resize it before it is sent.
Note: To be able to view picture messages, the recipient must also have a subscription that supports MMS, as well as the proper MMS settings.
