To be able to send and receive email messages with your phone, you must have email settings entered in your phone. You may also have to register an email account with your service provider. For most phones you can have email settings sent to you in an SMS message. Go to the Phone set-up service on this site and follow the instructions that appear. You can also manually configure an email account. To do this you need POP and SMTP server settings, which you get from your email service provider.

Note: When you send an email to a mobile phone, the recipient must have an email address and a subscription that supports email.

To create an email account:

1. Select Menu > Messaging > Email.
2. Enter your name and email address. Select Continue.
3. Enter your username and password. Select Continue.
4. Select Yes. If your settings can be downloaded automatically, skip steps 5–7.
5. Select OK to setup the account manually.
6. Select connection type, and select Continue.
7. Enter the servers for incoming and for outgoing emails. Select Continue.
8. The setup is now completed. Select Yes to update your inbox

1. Select Menu > Messaging > Email > Write new.
2. Select Add, and choose between Enter email address or Contacts look-up, to select a recipient from Contacts.
3. If you wish to add more recipients, press the navigation key upwards and highlight To. Select Edit.
4. Select To, Cc or Bcc and select Add. When you are finished selecting recipients, select Done.
5. Type an email subject in the Subject field if you like, then select OK. To edit the subject, highlight Subject and select Edit.
6. Write your message in the Text field, and select OK. To edit the message, highlight the text field and select Edit.
7. Select Add, to select an attachment type. Press Select to attach. To see the attachment, press down on the navigation key.
8. To add more attachments, highlight Attachments and select Add.
9. Select Continue > Send. Your email has now been sent.
