To be able to send and receive email messages with your phone, you must have email settings entered in your phone. You may also have to register an email account with your service provider. For most phones you can have email settings sent to you in an SMS message. Go to the Phone set-up service on this site and follow the instructions that appear. You can also manually configure an email account. To do this you need POP and SMTP server settings, which you get from your email service provider.

Note: When you send an email to a mobile phone, the recipient must have an email address and a subscription that supports email.

To send an email:

1. From standby, select "Menu" > Messaging > Email > Write new.
2. Select "Add" > Enter email address to enter an email address. You can also select Contacts look-up to select a recipient from Contacts.
3. If you want to add more recipients, highlight To and select "Edit".
4. Select "Options"
5. Select To, Cc or Bc and select enter email address to enter an email address. You can also select Contacts look-up to select a recipient from Contacts.. When you've finished selecting recipients, select "Done".
6. Type an email subject in the Subject field if you wish, then select "OK". To edit the subject, select "Edit".
7. Write your message in the Text field. To edit the message, highlight the text field again.
8. Press "Insert" to select an attachment type. Press "Options" > "Insert item" to attach.
9. Highlight "Attachment" and select "Insert", to add more attachments.
10. Select "Options" > "Send".
11. Your email has now been sent.
