To transfer photos via infrared (IR)

Infrared (IR) radiation can be used to wirelessly transfer data, voice or audio between mobile phones, computers and other devices. The maximum IR transmission range varies, but we recommend you place the devices less than 20 cm (7.5 inches) apart and with no obstructions between them.

To transfer files from your phone to another device:
  1. Turn on the infrared port in the other device (e.g. computer or other phone).
  2. Place the two devices close to each other with their infrared ports facing each other and do not move them until the transfer is finished.
  3. In your phone, highlight the item you want to transfer and press "More".
  4. Select Send > Via infrared.
  5. The receiver might be prompted to accept the incoming item, otherwise the transfer starts automatically.
