How do I rip music tracks using the Media Manager?

The Sony Ericsson Media Manager software enables you to transfer music, photos, videos and RSS media feeds between your phone and your PC. You can also extract music tracks from a CD and transfer them to your phone. You can add SensMe™ metadata to tracks (depending on phone model) to let you sort the music in your phone by mood. Another key feature of the Media Manager is the ability to subscribe to media feeds such as podcasts, video blogs, etc.

Install the Media Manager software from the CD (if included in the phone kit) or download and install from Software Downloads on this site. Follow the installation instructions that appear.

To rip music tracks:

Connect your phone to a computer with a Sony Ericsson USB cable.
In the phone: Select File transfer. Your phone's functions will be inactivated in this mode, but it will restart when you disconnect your phone from the USB cable.
On the computer: Insert the CD from which you wish to rip tracks, and open the Sony Ericsson Media Manager.
Go to the Audio CD Mode (tab), and drag and drop music tracks from the CD to your phone.
When the transfer is finished, close the Media Manager application and disconnect the USB cable.
