By using your phone as a modem, you can connect your computer to the Internet via your phone. To be able to use your phone as a modem, you need:

• A phone subscription that supports data transmission.
• Data account settings for access to an Internet server.

To use your phone as a modem, you need Sony Ericsson PC Suite on the computer. You can download PC Suite from Software downloads on this support site.

To create a new connection and use your phone as a modem:

1. Connect the USB cable to the computer and the phone.
2. In the phone: Select Phone mode.
3. On the computer: The first time you connect your phone to the computer, you need to identify and name the phone. Wait for the drivers to be installed (this is done automatically).
4. In the Sony Ericsson PC Suite application, click Tools > Internet Connection.
5. To create a new connection: Select Manage your connections > Add new connection.
6. The Internet Connection Wizard appears. Follow the instructions and enter the required settings.
7. To connect to the Internet, click Connect in the Internet connection window.

To select a connection when more than one connection has been created:

1. Select Manage your connections. The Manage your connections window opens.
2. Double-click your preferred Internet service provider.
