What is A-GPS?

Assisted GPS, generally called A-GPS, enhances the process for satellite connection with the GPS receiver. A-GPS helps the GPS receiver locate the satellites via data from a server in the mobile network. A-GPS therefore contributes to faster and more accurate positioning.
