What is shake control?

The Shake control is a built-in feature which enables you to switch music tracks or shuffle a playlist just by shaking your phone. You can also shake your phone randomly to shuffle tracks in the playlist and have them play in a random order.

Note: You can also use the Shake control to control gaming functions.

To use the Shake control:

  • While listening to music, press and hold the Walkman® key and quickly shake your phone to the right to go to the next track, or to the left to go to the previous track.
