What is shake control?

The Shake control is a built-in feature which enables you to switch music tracks or shuffle a playlist just by shaking your phone. You can also shake your phone randomly to shuffle tracks in the playlist and have them play in a random order.

Note: You can also use the Shake control to control gaming functions.

To use shake control:

  1. While listening to music, press and hold down the Walkman™ key and move the phone to the right with a flick of your wrist to go to the next track.
  2. To go to the previous track, use the same action to the left.
