What is the Backup Manager?

Backup Manager is part of the Sony Ericsson PC Suite for some phone models and can be used to back up phone data. This is very useful, for example, before making a master reset.

To back up data:

  1. Connect your phone to the computer via a USB cable (note that you can't use Bluetooth™ or Infrared (IR) when backing up).
  2. In your phone: Select Phone Mode (or similar depending on your phone model).
  3. In your computer, open the Sony Ericsson PC Suite.
  4. Select Backup Manager. Here you can choose Wizard mode or Advanced mode.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to perform the backup.

To restore data:

  1. Enter the Backup Manager as described above.
  2. Select Restore.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to restore your data.
