What is track ID™

Use the TrackID™ music recognition service to get the name and artist of a track you hear playing in your surroundings. Simply record a small sample of the song and get all the details within a matter of seconds. The track information appears when a track is recognised after a search. For best results, use TrackID™ technology in a quiet area.

To be able to use TrackID™ technology, you need to have your Mobile Internet settings (WAP) installed. These settings may already be in your phone when you buy it, or you can use the Set up your phone for Mobile Internet on this site and have the settings sent to you in an SMS message. The cost for using TrackID™ is your network operator's fee for transferring the data to your phone.

  • When you hear a music track on the radio in your phone that you would like to know more about:
    1. Press 'More' > TrackID™.
    2. Then press 'Select' > 'Start'.
  • If you hear a music track in your surroundings:
    1. Go to Menu > Entertainment > TrackID™.
    2. Then press 'Start', and hold your phone microphone near the music source.
    A sample of the music track is recorded, and, when found, details about the music track are shown on the screen.
