Windows Live Messenger lets you communicate online with instant messages (IM).

To set up Messenger:

1. Select Start > Messenger > Sign in.

2. If you accept the Terms of Service and License, tap Accept.

3. Type your sign in credentials in the fields and tap Next, or tap Get a Windows Live ID if you don´t have a Windows Live ID.

4. Tap to check the box for Windows Live services if you want to have quick access to Windows Live from your today screen and tap Next.

5. Tap to check the boxes for Store Windows Live contacts in your mobile phone´s contact list and Sync e-mail if you want these features. You can set the sync interval later on.

To add an new contact:

1. Select Menu > Add new contact.

2. Enter an e-mail adress in the empty field and tap OK.
