Messaging
Learn how to use the messaging functions of your W350i.
Send an SMS
SMS (Short Message Service) lets you exchange text messages with other mobile phone users. Type messages easily with T9™ Text Input. Most phones allow you to copy and paste text. There is a character limit for SMS messages, but with Long messages you can exceed it.
Send and receive email
Some phones allow you to send and receive email. You must have a phone and a subscription that includes data capabilities, and an email account with an Internet service provider.
Push email
Some phones support Push email, which lets you receive notification of new email directly to your phone. This service must be supported by your email provider, and you must have an email account set up in your phone.
Using PC Suite to send and manage messages
You can install the PC Suite application on your computer to synchronise data with your phone. You can also use this application to manage your messages.
Send a picture message
Send messages containing pictures and sounds to a mobile phone or via email using MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service). You must enter the correct settings to use MMS. Items such as smileys or symbols can be added from the message view. Create a template if you often use the same phrases or pictures in your messages.
Inputting text
You can input text from your phone's keypad using T9™ Text Input (Predictive Text) or Multitap. There are two language settings for your phone - one for the menus and one for text input.
Managing your messages
Learn how to manage messages on your phone. You can save pictures and information that you receive in messages. You may want to save messages on a memory card. You can also forward messages and create send lists.
