Installation instructions

This BlackBerry SIS file is required for all installations. It’s required to download and install PC Suite for Sony Ericsson.

  1. Download the SIS application to a local drive on your computer and note the location of the download.
    - For BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS), only the .SIS file is required.
    - For BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), Over The Air Activation (OTA), the SIS file and a OTA password are required.
    - For BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), USB Activation, in addition to the SIS file, the BlackBerry Connect Desktop software for Sony Ericsson is required.
  2. Transfer the .sis file to your phone.
  3. Follow the installation and set-up instructions in the User Guide.

    - For BlackBerry® Enterprise Server provision the Desktop SW is only required if wireless activation for some reason is not available.
    - If so, you will also need to download and install PC Suite for Smartphones. The PC Suite is available at this site.
